Education and Certification Programs

Eligibility

Those eligible to achieve certification are public personnel administrators, professionals, and administrative support staff who are responsible for various phases of personnel administration and employed in an Alabama governmental organization.

 

Outcome

Through successful completion of specified coursework and a comprehensive examination, individuals achieve the designation of “Alabama Certified Human Resource Professional or Alabama Certified Human Resource Specialist.”

With the support and sponsorship of the Government and Economic Development Institute Auburn University, the Association of County Commissions of Alabama, the Alabama League of Municipalities, the education program maintains a focus on issues that are pertinent to public personnel in Alabama.

Course Registration Information

Course Registration/Cancellation Rule:  Provided that space is available, receipt of the registration form, email, or online enrollment constitutes registration.  Written cancellations, received fifteen (15) working days prior to the beginning of the program will be honored with refund of the registration fee, but will be assessed a $50 administrative charge.  Due to commitments to instructors and meeting facilities, late cancellations or non-attendance will not be refunded and full payment is required.  Substitutes for registered participants may be made at any time.  Questions?  Contact: gedi@auburn.edu, or call 334-844-4782.
